“I have never seen a training system that attacks health and fitness from such a well rounded perspective.”

When I first met Walker, I was amazed by how well he moved and as a fellow trainer I was instantly curious. I believe the first question I ever asked him was “Do you follow any kind of program?” To my amazement he went on to explain that he had been following his own Holistic Training System. As he continued to explain the ins and outs of the program, my jaw literally dropped. I have never seen a training system that attacks health and fitness from such a well rounded perspective. I hadn’t followed a program in three years but I knew right away I wanted to be a part of Walker’s training system.
I have been a competitive athlete for all of my life, through gymnastics and CrossFit. Both sports did a decent amount of damage to body, and I lost trust with my relationship to movement. I had torn ligaments in both of my elbows, and two torn discs in my low back, along with a laundry list of other injuries. Eventually I embraced injury prevention and training for longevity in my own programming. This is where I found a renewed passion for fitness. A big reason why I was instantly drawn to Walker’s program was his focus on injury prevention and longevity.
Walker has covered every base when it comes to a fitness routine from strength, to cardiovascular endurance, to muscular endurance, to recovery, to fill in the blank… he’s checked the box. The attention and care he has placed into every aspect of his training system is far beyond 99% of training programs out there! His approach extends far beyond lifting weights for a few hours a week. The program is balanced in all aspects allowing you to explore movement and your own potential whilse also receiving expert guidance, encouragement, and wisdom from Walker. I can confidently say after just a short time on the Holistic Training System I feel BOTH stronger and healthier than ever! I have been able to trust my body and movement again. I can now hold a handstand for 3 minutes without any elbow pain and I haven’t had any back pain since I started the program (which is truly a miracle)! Walker proves that you can train smart and crush fitness goals at the same time! I am grateful to be a part of the Holistic Training System and the longevity focused fitness movement of the future!

"Starting a fitness journey at 51 years old felt like a tremendous goal. I needed to get in better shape quickly and Walker was there from the beginning coaching and cheering me on. He started me off slow really getting me to understand how important it was to practice exercises with correct form and intention. As I became more fit, the workouts became more intense. Every time I reached a new goal, Walker was there to let me know that I was continuing to grow strong and my confidence increased with every new thing he gave me to do.
Because of his teaching and his constant investment in my health and well being, I decided that I wanted to help people in the same way and first accomplished my ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor certification and am now working on becoming a Certified Personal Trainer. I still reach out to Walker if I have questions. We still workout together on a regular basis. He's been a great mentor and a fantastic friend. He still inspires me to be a healthier man, mentally and physically.” —Marc L.
“Holistic Shoulders has been a great experience. I had a shoulder injury back in January and this workout has helped me heal from that. My shoulders are stronger than they have ever been. More flexibility, range of motion, and strength has been my goal. Walker’s approach is perfect and the workouts are easy to follow with detailed explanations of the ‘How’ and ‘Why’ of Holistic Fitness. I am looking forward to the next level.

1.) What is the biggest mantra that you tell yourself, since working with me, that is related to what we practice?
"you've got this buddy" I hear it in my head all the time. It has gotten to the point that whatever "challenge" I face this goes thru my head... "you've got this buddy"
2.) How have your views changed on health and fitness since working with me?
I have gained a greater appreciation for the amount of effort it takes to reach health and fitness goals.
3.) What have you realized about yourself since working with me?
You have given me confidence beyond my imagination. I CAN DO THAT! Also that I really like physical activity on so many levels.
4.) What new goals do you have since working with me? Goals for 2020?
completing handstand pushups! tackling that peg board. more muscle tone/ definition. continued improved mobility and strength.
5.) Top 3 goals reached since working with me?
pushups. not wanting to puke every time I do a burpee. dead lifting (this one made me cry! I didn't even know it was a goal!)
6.) Describe me in 3 words?
Passionate. Intelligent. Supportive. (3 words aren't enough!)
7.) Additional comments, feedback?
I have enjoyed working with you for almost a year. You have given me the confidence that I need to get through some very tough situations... physically mentally and emotionally. "Working out" isn't just about building a better body. It's about building a better person. I love the fact that you explain the "why" in everything we do in training and classes. I appreciate the feedback that you give... whether it's "keep your feet parallel" "you've got 2 more in you" or "shut it down." I admire your skill in knowing what will work best to correct the asymmetry in each individual person you encounter every day and that you are willing to share that knowledge. You have an uncanny ability to push without pushing. I admire that you see the ability in all of us and can get us to the next level.
On a personal note: I can't sing your praises loud enough. I know that I have done all of the work but you have inspired me and motivated me. You have been there to get me over some pretty big humps that you don't know about. I have really enjoyed showing up not knowing what you were going to put me through but knowing that no matter what it is you always know that I can do it. This is huge for me. I really appreciate your coaching and our friendship. Cheers to more! Love ya buddy!

"At 70 years old, I have been working with Walker for nearly a year and a half. I am pleased beyond all expectations with both the results and the enjoyment I’m having, working with him."

"At 70 years old, I have been working with Walker for nearly a year and a half. I am pleased beyond all expectations with both the results and the enjoyment I'm having, working with him. At 60, I began training martial arts – Krav Maga – and loved it. I achieved three belts and a level of fitness I hadn’t seen since my twenties. I trained eight hours per week for over seven years, but by my late sixties, my body began to change in ways I didn’t understand. For six months my training was derailed as I focused on moving out of California and into Arizona. I arrived in Sedona desperately out of shape having tremors and balance problems, along with other strength and movement issues. I joined the gym but knew I needed help. Good friends of mine, an ex-orthopedic surgeon and his wife had worked out with Walker and recommended him highly. This turned out to be a very important recommendation Walker and I started training three times a week, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
As I grew to understand and respect his profound knowledge of exercise, movement and diet, I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. I was told the best things I could do for it were exercise, diet and a healthy lifestyle. After this diagnosis, my training became far more serious. What I do now will profoundly affect the quality of the rest of my life. Over the years I’ve had numerous trainers, coaches, therapists etc., and I had already realized that Walker is the best resource I could have. I surrendered to his leadership and we really got to work.
He pays attention to every detail of my movement and selects exercises to both challenge me and take into consideration my weaknesses and limitations. He has a seemingly inexhaustible supply of exercises to choose from to suit my needs on a daily basis. He is remarkably patient and has improved my understanding of the exercises tremendously. He knows how to motivate me to real intensity on good days, and how to back off on other days while still getting something done. And he does this with such a great attitude. I always have fun no matter how I feel or how hard I work. I really enjoy the time and consider him a true friend.
And I’m getting real results. My wife is amazed at the change in my movement and attitude. Before Walker, I was losing strength shuffling off balance, head forward exhausted all the time – and depressed. My wife described me as starting to look frail. Now I feel forty years younger, move far differently, am much stronger, and have a positive attitude toward life and the future that I had been missing.
Walker and I are now starting work on diet and nutrition with the same focus as exercise. I am finding his knowledge in these areas to be as deep as exercise. I’m eager to continue this journey with him.
They say when the student is ready, the teacher will appear. Although this student is seventy and my teacher is twenty-six, the more I listen to him and trust his guidance, the better I feel, and the better my results. I’m grateful to be here."
Sincerely,
Robert Grigg

I feel extremely fortunate to have Walker Eaton program and direct my workout schedules. During the time he’s guided my workouts, I’ve become quite amazed at my improvements in strength, mobility and flexibility. It’s not something I expected or envisioned. The progression and changes in my workouts have seemed incrementally small, yet consistent and purposeful, in allowing my body to accept lifting or moving more weight, or more repetitions, or both. These small gains have an accumulated result and I’m really happy with my physical health and improved abilities, since starting with Walker’s programs.
One of the most important things I notice now is the ease of doing functional everyday movements. I am much more adept, for example, at handling landscape maintenance, raking, tree and bush trimming, painting, carrying yard or construction materials, and any number of other movement tasks.
In my profession as a musician I am my own ‘roadie’ and am moving guitars and stringed instruments (protected in custom flight cases) almost daily that weigh 30 – 50 pounds each. For each gig, I move sound gear, amps, speaker cabinets and various cord & accessory bags that weigh between 20 – 70 pounds each. A couple of years ago I thought I would need to downsize and change to lighter instruments and gear. Instead I look forward to moving equipment with improved posture and strength, continuing a life style and occupation that I really love.
My physical skills that I use for walking, running, hiking, pole vaulting, high jumping and golf have all improved, relative to my age. This past year I claimed medals in pole vault (gold) and high jump (silver) for the US Track & Field Masters Championships. Recently, I won gold medals in pole vault and high jump at the UST&F Western Regional Indoor Championships. These sports accomplishments would not have been possible without Walker’s training routines.
Walker excels in understanding anatomy and how the body works. In his holistic training approach he is constantly studying, evaluating and incorporating important strength, movement and flexibility exercises
tailored through his programming to improve each client’s abilities - from novice to elite.
True to the name of his company, Walker communicates the ‘holistic’ importance and practical aspects of maintaining a healthy diet, sleep patterns and home and workplace activities – in addition to his physical workouts and exercise programming.
What I’ve learned in my experience with Walker’s workout programming – is the dramatic improvements that come with accomplishing specific movement patterns.
The kinds of exercises I learned in my previous athletic experiences were all about strengthening large muscle groups. I did military and bench presses, squats, curls, and a few other exercises While in some cases I could improve strength I lacked flexibility and mobility. Walker has me doing smaller specific movement patterns to strengthen tibula, calves, Achilles tendons, ankles, knee joints, arms & shoulders, abdomen (core), neck, hands & fingers, that translate to much better all around fitness.
I get excited about the results and want to tell friends and acquaintances about Walker’s exercise programs through the True Coach protocol. Just getting started and following the directions will make a huge impact on your life. Literally for 3 to 4 hours a week you’ll begin to notice real and significant improvements in your overall health and everyday physical movement patterns. It’s one of the most important things we can do for our personal well being.

"Where do I begin? Walker's program is years of knowledge of the human body and shows us small nuances that we overlook in our everyday routines. I was a little over 235 pounds, insecure, sad, and had no idea what health really felt like or looked like when I first started Holistic Fitness Fusion. After many months of hard work, and long hours of detailed, precise movement, I was able to achieve things I honestly never thought I'd achieve. I'm around 187 pounds now and I feel very confident, stable, and healthy. This is no easy or small task but Walker walks you through the fire, assisting in any way you may need/want." - Albunit D.

"When I first joined the Holistic Training Team, I had high expectations. I know Walker well and figured I had a good idea of what I was getting into. This program has gone above and beyond anything I could have imagined. My novice outlook on fitness lacked the understanding of full-scope wellness, resulting in my looking past it as a resource for my mental wellbeing. I would encourage everyone I know to join this team, not just for the body you've always envisioned, but for the ability to envision far more than just that. As a community, we couldn't have a better leader than Walker Eaton." - Justice, K.

“Walker has deepened my understanding of fitness as a truly holistic lifestyle that includes multiple interconnected dynamics and variables that inform our body’s health and athletic performance.”
More from Taylor:

“Walker has deepened my understanding of fitness as a truly holistic lifestyle that includes multiple interconnected dynamics and variables that inform our body's health and athletic performance.Through Walker’s expertise and guidance, I have been inspired and become more confident that my body can perform at peak performance for my sport/art due to his tailored lessons, and more importantly, I know that I am building strength and conditioning in a safe manner that will promote longevity, prevent injury, and improve my overall health.
Walker uses an innovative approach that is both novel and based on many years of research, and he combines all of this scientific knowledge and his own philosophies (such as the concept of ‘pre-hab’) into a well-rounded program that benefits a diverse array of people, from beginners to elite athletes. Something I personally appreciate is his humility and gentle but empowering encouragement: his mission is truly to help others achieve their goals in a way that is healthy, sustainable, and fun, without putting anybody down. His attitude is positive but realistic and he understands how to provide just the right amount of challenge and motivation as a coach, tapping into an individual’s own innate potential.
Walker promotes safe, informed, and purposeful training without encouraging unrealistic body standards so often see on social media portrayed as the ‘ultimate goal’ — he doesn’t preach about empty, purely aesthetic goals for the sake of appearance, but instead we see exterior results as a secondary or ‘bonus’ result of a holistic approach to health of the entire body system; in-depth inner work that develops resilience, emphasizes nutrition and lifestyle (such as good sleep habits, for example), and builds character. As an aerialist, I’ve observed notable improvements in my training and performance since working with Walker, and I’ve also noticed results in my overall, day-to-day health as a human being and that is a great feeling.”

“As a successful and over worked hair designer and business owner, I was 25 pounds heavier and suffered with tennis elbow, Achilles tendinitis and a torn meniscus. I knew I had to get serious about my health. Walker was not defeated by my list of issues in any way but saw me as the athlete I have become. He began chipping away at my ailments and curated a program that included stretching, breathing and strength training with proper form. His unique approach to wellness is the most through and holistic that I have ever experienced. Walker Eaton fixed me and I am forever grateful.” — Deanna R.

“The Holistic Fitness program is the first training program that I have truly enjoyed doing and have seen consistent results with. As a multi sport athlete, this program addresses everything I need weekly, on a flexible schedule that suits me. Walker is a passionate and knowledgeable coach, providing advice and support in a distinctly positive manner. The cost is also worth mentioning. Holistic Fitness is the most affordable private professional coaching I have found, making it easy for a low income worker to maintain high levels of fitness and prevent injuries.” - Miles G.
