Holistic Prehab

Guided self myofascial work along with deeper static stretches that allow our muscular and fascial systems the time they need to relax.

Holistic Prehab

"Prehab" is a pro-active injury-prevention process to increase your tissue health and decrease the likelihood of injury
Follow along to over nine different guided hours of deep tissue and deep stretching. This style is different from the more active Holistic Mobility, as we utilize self myofascial work along with deeper static stretches that allow our muscular and fascial systems the time they need to relax. This series teaches you the many self-care techniques that I have picked up over years of learning, practicing, and teaching self myofascial release. Each area that we work with a foam roller, lacrosse ball or other object, we lengthen with the appropriate stretches. This approach allows us to first bring more blood flow to the area and release the muscle and fascial system before performing a stretch that now has more potential for muscle lengthening; resulting in a deeper stretch. Each hour has a theme and follows one of the myofascial “trains”, popularized by Thomas W. Myers: these are lines of “tensegrity” that are continuous across joints; all interwoven into one continuous fascial system.

This course can be completed at home with minimal equipment.

Equipment Utilized: yoga mat, yoga block, foam roller, lacrosse ball or base ball, heavy duty band or yoga strap.
